Featured in 1 track
Translation
"I bow to golden Gaura, the son of Shachi: ever-youthful, He bears ever-new ecstatic moods, delights in new dances and jokes, and shines like freshly cast gold."
Meaning
The Shachisutashtakam — eight verses by Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya, the great scholar of Puri who became a devotee of Sri Chaitanya. Each verse ends with "pranamami shachi-suta-gaura-varam" — "I bow to Gaura, the son of Shachi." Sri Chaitanya is Krishna in the form of a devotee, always absorbed in chanting the holy name.
