आद् गुरे नमः जुगाद् गुरे नमः सत् गुरे नमः सिरी गुरुदेवे नमः
ād gurē namah, jugād gurē namah, sat gurē namah, sirī guru dēvē namah
"I bow to the primal Guru, I bow to the Guru of all ages, I bow to the True Guru, I bow to the great divine Guru."
Meaning
The Mangala Charan — the opening lines of Guru Arjan's Sukhmani Sahib; Guru Arjan was the fifth Sikh Guru. It bows to God as the Teacher who exists before time and in every age; in Kundalini yoga practice it is sung as a prayer for protection. It belongs to the Sikh tradition.
