Om. We worship the three-eyed one (Shiva), fragrant, nourisher of all. As the ripe fruit frees itself from its stalk, may He liberate us from the bonds of death — but not from immortality
Meaning
The Mahamrityunjaya — 'great death-conquering mantra' from the Rigveda (7.59.12), addressed to Shiva-Tryambaka. Chanted for healing, protection and overcoming the fear of death.
