गोपीनाथ, मम निवेदन शुनो । विषयी दुर्जन, सदा काम-रत, किछु नाहि मोर गुण ॥
gopīnāth, mama nivedana śuno / viṣayī durjana, sadā kāma-rata, kichu nāhi mora guṇa
"O Gopinatha, Lord of the gopis, please hear my request: I am a wicked materialist, always addicted to worldly desires, and I possess no good qualities."
Meaning
A song by Bhaktivinoda Thakura from Kalyana-kalpataru. The devotee admits his helplessness and asks Krishna, the Lord of the gopis, for only one thing — an eternal place at His feet. It is a model of humble surrender (sharanagati): hope rests not on one's own merit but on the Lord's mercy.
