Translation
"Hara, Hara, Mahadeva!" — "Glory to Shiva, the Great God!"
Meaning
An ancient cry of glory to Lord Shiva — Hara, "the one who removes" ignorance and suffering. The Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition honours Shiva as the greatest of Vaishnavas (Bhagavatam 12.13.16).
